A Total of 36 Health Centers were worked on, 4 facilities in Kyegegwa district, 8 in Kyenjojo district, 3 in Kamwenge district, 2 in Kabarole district, 2 in Bunyangabu district, 4 in Ibanda district, 8 in Bushenyi district, 3 in Mitooma district and 3 in Sheema District in the Western and South-western regions of Uganda.
The goal of the project is to enable improved delivery of health services – particularly but not limited to maternal and child health – in un-electrified or under-electrified primary healthcare facilities, through improved access to modern, affordable, and sustainable electricity services. The electrification covers entire health facilities including medical buildings, staff houses, latrines, and all-round security lighting
A total of 144KW of solar power was installed in these facilities and broken down as shown Below:
